2027 by Day Master

Most 2027 forecasts sort you by the animal of your birth year — the Goat, the Tiger, the Rat. A Four Pillars reading sorts you by something more personal: the heavenly stem of the day you were born, the Day Master. It is the pillar that stands for you, and the whole chart is read against it. When the year of Ding Wei arrives at Li Chun — 4 February 2027, 10:46 Korean time, not on 1 January — its Ding Fire stem and Wei Earth branch meet each of the ten Day Masters differently. For Jia Wood, Ding is a Hurting Officer; for Ren Water, a Direct Wealth that combines with it; for Xin Metal, a Seven Killings. Same year, ten different weathers.

That is why two people born in the same animal year can have opposite experiences of it: the year stem plays a different Ten God for each Day Master, and the year branch lands on different ground. These ten pages read 2027 that way. Each one names the Ten God the year brings, explains what the Wei Goat does underneath, and walks through the twelve solar months so you know when to act, when to prepare, when to move money, and when to keep your head down. They are weather forecasts, not verdicts — a strong chart and a weak chart of the same Day Master feel the same year in different ways, and your own choices remain the biggest pillar of all.

How to read these pages

To find your Day Master you need the day pillar of your birth: the sixty-day cycle of stems and branches assigns one heavenly stem to every calendar day, regardless of the year or the hour. The free chart calculator on this site does the arithmetic — enter your birth date (and time, if you know it) and read the stem of the day column: 甲 Jia or 乙 Yi is Wood, 丙 Bing or 丁 Ding is Fire, 戊 Wu or 己 Ji is Earth, 庚 Geng or 辛 Xin is Metal, 壬 Ren or 癸 Gui is Water. Then open the matching page below. If you were born near midnight, check both neighboring days; and if you were born between 1 January and Li Chun in early February, your birth-year animal belongs to the previous year, but your Day Master does not change.

FAQ

What is a Day Master?

The heavenly stem of your day pillar — one of ten (Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, Wu, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren, Gui), each a yin or yang version of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal or Water. In saju and BaZi it stands for you; every other character in the chart is read by its relationship to it.

Why read 2027 by Day Master instead of zodiac sign?

Your zodiac animal is one character, the year branch, shared with everyone born in the same year. The Day Master is chosen by your birth day, so it splits the year twelve times more finely and it is the axis the Ten Gods are counted from — the 2027 stem 丁 is a different god for each of the ten.

How do I find my Day Master?

Enter your birth date in the calculator: the stem shown on the Day pillar is your Day Master. Birth time is not needed for it — the day pillar changes at midnight.

When does 2027 start?

At Li Chun, Feb 4 2027 10:46 KST (01:46 UTC the day before). Until that moment the year pillar is still 丙午 Bing Wu.
