Born in January or early February 1947?
The 1947 Pig year began at Chinese New Year on Jan 22, 1947. If you were born from January 1 to Jan 21, 1947, your sign is the Fire Dog of 1946. The year ended on Feb 9, 1948, so birthdays in early 1948 up to that date still count as Pigs.
The Korean saju year starts at Ipchun
In Korean saju (the Four Pillars), the year pillar changes at Ipchun, the start of spring — Feb 5, 1947 at about 00:54 Korea time — not at Lunar New Year. A birthday from Jan 22 to Feb 4, 1947 is already a Pig by Lunar New Year but still 丙戌 (Fire Dog) in a saju chart. Why saju starts the year at Ipchun →
