Overall
Ding, the 2027 stem, is Geng Xu's Direct Officer — Fire refining Metal, the classic pairing: order, duty, rank and reputation, and for a woman the partner star in its steady form. The Goat below carries Direct Resource, so the post arrives with paperwork and a senior hand to guide it, and Direct Wealth, a modest harvest inside the duty. The rub is between the branches: 未 Wei meets your Dog in Punishment and Break, two Earth branches grinding, so home and routine take some wear. Geng reaches Wei at Cap and Belt — ready to wear the uniform.
A Kui Gang pillar in an Officer year is a natural fit: the organisation needs someone who does not waver, and the year gives that person a title. Take it, learn the rules before you enforce them, and spend the softness at home, where the Punishment shows first. Act in Ren Yin (from Feb 4), Gui Mao (from Mar 6), Bing Wu (from Jun 6) and Wu Shen (from Aug 8); take care in Jia Chen (from Apr 5), Yi Si (from May 6), Ding Wei (from Jul 7) and Gui Chou (from Jan 6, 2028); Ji You (from Sep 8) is mixed.
Love
For a woman of this pillar, Direct Officer on the year stem is the partner star in plain view: a responsible, principled person, or a steadier chapter with the one you have. For a man, Direct Wealth hides in the Goat — present, quiet, easily overlooked. Either way the Dog–Goat Punishment lands in the spouse palace, so domestic friction over rules, money and family arrives. The one soft sentence the pillar always needed is this year's whole strategy.
Money
Officer years pay by salary and grade, not by windfall, and Direct Wealth in the Goat keeps it modest and steady: the raise, the fixed-rate contract, the pension contribution done properly. Resource in the same branch favours spending on credentials that protect what you earn. Keep property and large purchases out of the Jia Chen month (from Apr 5), the Dragon–Dog Clash, and the Ding Wei month (from Jul 7), when the Punishment peaks.
Work and study
Military and police, law, technology, medicine — the fields of principle and judgment — reward Geng Xu this year with rank: the promotion, the licence, the responsibility with a title. Cap and Belt at Wei says you can carry it. Learn the politics as well as the rules, and soften the delivery; the same decision lands better quietly. The Ren Yin (from Feb 4) and Bing Wu (from Jun 6) months are your trine months for applications and moves.
Home, partner and body
Xu and Wei grind: Punishment and Break between two Earth branches means the household argues about ground — space, repairs, schedules, rules. Keep it at lifestyle level with one weekly logistics conversation, before resentment starts one for you. An Officer year is heavy on responsibility and light on rest; guard sleep, keep the back and joints moving, and avoid renovations in the Ding Wei month (from Jul 7) and the Gui Chou month (from Jan 6, 2028).

Do and don't in 2027
- Do — take the post or title and learn its rules before enforcing them.
- Do — hold one weekly household logistics talk, gently, before frictions harden.
- Don't — buy property or move in the Jia Chen month (from Apr 5), the Dragon–Dog Clash.
- Don't — deliver a right decision in a hard voice at home.
FAQ
Is 2027 good for Geng Xu?
Good for rank and standing, scratchy at home. Ding is your Direct Officer, so duty, reputation and promotion lead, with Direct Resource in the Goat supplying support; Geng at Cap and Belt on Wei is ready. But the Goat punishes and breaks your Dog, so household routines take some wear. Softness at home is the whole homework.
Which months should Geng Xu watch in 2027?
Jia Chen (from Apr 5, the Dragon–Dog Clash), Yi Si (from May 6, wonjin), Ding Wei (from Jul 7, Punishment and Break) and Gui Chou (from Jan 6, 2028, Punishment). Ji You (from Sep 8) is mixed. Ren Yin, Gui Mao, Bing Wu and Wu Shen are supportive.
What is 2027 for a Geng Xu day pillar, in Ten Gods?
The year stem 丁 Ding is your Direct Officer and the year branch 未 Wei is Direct Resource through its main qi 己 Ji. Your day branch 戌 Xu meets 未 as Punishment 刑 and Break 破, and your Day Master stands in Cap and Belt on 未.
